By just adding water to the heater and inserting the sealed pouch of food into the bag, you will have a 100+ degree meal in 10 to 12 minutes! Exactly what our troops are using in the field!
- Easy to Use - Unlimted Shelf Life - Can be used with non-MRE items as well - Instructions for use printed on each heater - Genuine US Military Issue
The heater is a simple combination of powdered food grade iron and magnesium, salt, and water.
When water is poured onto the included heater pad, the heater releases enough heat to warm-up the pre-cooked meal to 100+ degrees Fahrenheit in approximately 12 minutes.
Here’s how to use them;
Step 1
Open carton and retrieve meal pouch. Tear open heater sleeve at top arrow.
Step 2
Insert the unopened meal pouch into the heater sleeve.
Step 3
Pour approximately one ounce water into the heater sleeve directly onto the heating element and up to the level indicator.
Step 4
Fold the sleeve over the meal. Lay meal flat on surface with fold facing upward and heating element on bottom.
Step 5
Slide the heater sleeve into the carton, unopened end first. Prop the carton against an angled surface to allow steam to rise.
Step 6
After 10-12 minutes, the meal is fully heated. Remove the sleeve, tear where indicated and slide out the meal pouch.
Step 7
Be careful - the contents are hot! Open the meal pouch and you're ready to eat!
Please Note: Once you've applied the water solution, the unit will become activated and produce heat and steam. Used Food Heaters are non-toxic and may be thrown in the trash. They do not produce Carbon Monoxide, but may activate CO detectors. Use in a well-ventiliated area on a heat-safe surface. Keep out of reach of children.
