Haitian rice and black beans is a traditional Haitian dish flavored with minced garlic, crispy toasted onions, cayenne pepper and cloves. To create a perfect meal, pair this dish with your favorite fresh meat such as chicken or beef.
Haitian Rice & Black Beans: Bring water to a boil in a heavy saucepan. Add mix and stir once. Return to a boil, then lower heat to simmer. Cover and let simmer for 15 min. DO NOT STIR. Remove from heat and steam for 5 minutes with the lid on. Fluff with a fork and serve.
