Future Essentials Dehydrated Mirepoix Mix (also known as Soffritto) is a combination of chopped dried carrots, celery, and onions. When re-hydrated with water, this mix of vegetables will maintain the texture and shape of fresh celery, carrot, and onion, with no shrinking or shriveling. This mixture can also be added to soups or stews without rehydration!

This Future Essentials Dehydrated Mirepoix Mix is an amazing addition to your food storage. Some great dishes to include it in would be stocks, sauces, soups, rice, omelets, and other foods. Once sauteed, this mix can be added to any savory foods.

This Mirepoix mix is excellent. I made some ham and navy bean soup and added some of this mix to it. I was a little nervous that the onion would overpower it...but it didn't. It turned out to be very flavorful and made a wonderful addition. Love it!
